Feds: Backhoe Nicked Pipe Before Wyoming Oil Spill →

(AP) A 25,000-gal. oil spill in the Powder River Basin occurred after a backhoe nicked a 6-inch underground pipeline and, over time, corrosion turned the minor damage into an oil-spewing hole, the U.S. Bureau of Land Management said Aug. 26. It remained unclear how long ago the backhoe damaged the crude oil pipeline owned by Casper-based Belle Fourche Pipeline, and what sort of construction work the backhoe was doing at the time, BLM officials said.  Click for more...

These machines now feature auto idle, throttle lock and throttle control. In addition, remapping of the TIV Interim engine’s software has resulted in further reductions in fuel consumption and improved digging and roading performance. As a young man, Joe D’Auria learned some fundamentals about landscaping and operating some equipment doing various jobs working for George Kopac, who owned the local driving range, Route 9W Golf. In 1984, D’Auria, who had been working for a local car dealership, was ready to make a change.
